Empowering Kids Through Mentorship

Our mission is to empower elementary students in Bartow County, Georgia to pursue greatness through a "pay for performance" mentorship program that reflects real-life experiences - rewarding positive behavior, academic effort, and personal growth. Inspired by a founder with a heart for kids and a passion for challenging them to do their best, the program connects students with role models who encourage them to become all they can be.

At the heart of the program is the "Learn to Earn" model - a pay-for-performance approach that encourages students to demonstrate positive behavior, be an active participant, and give academic effort. Each month, mentors visit classrooms to lead discussions centered around a character word of the month (e.g., bravery, respect, honesty), challenging students to reflect and grow.

Students who meet specific behavioral and academic criteria - such as showing respect, maintaining neat workspaces, completing assignments, and following classroom rules - are recognized and rewarded. Their progress is monitored monthly and teachers provide feedback across all subjects and interactions. Those who qualify receive a small monetary reward, reinforcing the value of effort and citizenship.

The program also fosters teamwork. Classes with the highest percentage of qualifying students over the year receive a group reward, emphasizing that teamwork pays off. In addition to monthly mentorship and rewards, the program includes an annual essay contest, inviting students to share what they have learned through their participation. Winners are celebrated at a year-end event featuring guest speakers and individual recognitions.
